Q2. Values
Question #2. What is one of your deepest values? Why is this value important to you?
·
· That all life is precious and human life is not only precious, but sacred.
· I think it is important to not do harm. I think it is more important to keep imagining a better future for your self. I think it is crucial to question the norm (societal, political, belief systems, values etc.). Even if you think you may know the answer, or even if the answer (or answers) is simple, the journey you take while getting to it, will be beneficial to society.
· My deepest values are staying true to ones individuality and making sure you’re getting the best out of life and living as golden as one can, in such times that can troubles ones dreams and aspirations.
· I would say that my deepest value is being who you are and the freedom to operate authentically as such. I think the key to moving throughout this world and building not only lasting relationship but overall success is knowing yourself. I believe when you operate from that place, you can make better decisions and have a reason for why you chose the life path you chose.
· One of my deepest values self-actualization. I believe that it is imperative that as many people as possible actualize their potential to contribute to society in an independently-derived interdependent manner. That is, I believe that cultivating the best possible version of oneself with the aim of offering the fruits of that actualization to greater community is the most valuable action one can take, and I seek to do so in every way possible no matter the cost.
· Le bénévolat est ma valeur la plus profonde, parce-que je trouve du plaisir à offrir. [Benevolence is my deepest value, because it pleases me to offer.]
· Unpopular justice. Because what is right is right however indignant it makes other people.
· This one is hard. I think equity is one of the things that most profoundly moves me--the idea that the world should be fair for those who inhabit it, socially, economically, politically, environmentally, etc. With this comes the value of respect towards others. And finally, very personally, I'd like to think that something I value very much is the ability and willingness to learn, and to keep learning, and knowing that I will never know everything.
· My number one priority in life, easily, is relationships. Having close friends and family is its own reward and is central to my life’s meaning. I believe in small, concrete ways of contributing to the world--and for me, that’s foremost through being as supportive and loving as I can to those around me.
